I came across a cool Holga slideshow the other day. First of all, if you’re not following Lomography on Twitter, you need start now
The feed is usually cool how-to’s and slideshows that users have uploaded to the Lomography site, which is how I came across the following slideshow:
Portraits of a Rock’n SoCal Wedding
It’s from a first time Holga user and most of the images were double-exposed with different color flashes. I’ve messed around with color flashes and double exposures before, but have been less than successful. Usually the colored flashes were too dark (I need faster film!) and the double exposures were too jumbled. But there were a few photos in the slideshow that made me think about the technique. Specifically, check out photos 28, 29 and 31. By using different colored flashes during the double exposures, the different elements really popped and didn’t get garbled. 30 is a good example of a double exposure that can be too garbled.
